One of the most recognizable names in the Indian fashion design fraternity, Surily Goel is an Indian fashion designer and stylist who owns a fashion label brand called &#;Surily G.&#; She mostly works with Bollywood stars and has styled some big names of the industry in many Hindi films; however, she is not only limited to the films. Ms Goel has also styled cricketers and other Indian personalities.
Surily DP Goel was born on Wednesday, 19 June (age 44 years; as of ) in Mumbai under the zodiac sign Gemini. The Mumbai-brought up designer earned a formal graduate degree in fashion designing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles.

The freshly graduated fashion designer initially trained under the famous Bollywood fashion designer Manish Malhotra before stepping into the Bollywood fashion industry. When asked about her experience of working under the celebrated designer in an interview, Goel said,
Everything I ever learned is from Manish; he played a big part in my life. Probably the biggest. There is a solution to everything and his hardwork and dedication is inspiring.&#;

In November , Ms Goel launched her eponymous fashion label &#;Surily G,&#; and she showcased her first collection at India&#;s leading fashion store &#;Ensemble,&#; and she has been retailing at the store since then. Talking about her initial days in the fashion industry, Surily said in an interview,
Clothes are not just embellishments that enhance one&#;s personality, they also reflect it. I ensure that there is only one point of emphasis in every garment I design. To define my design philosophy with three adjectives clarity, wearablity and most of all versatility.&#;
The designer finally caught the spotlight in when Surily&#;s collections for Indian actress Preity Zinta in her movie Salaam Namaste were hugely appreciated.

Since then, she has been closely associated with the Bollywood industry, and she has styled many stars for different movies. Talking about her experience of working in the Bollywood fashion industry, Surily stated in an interview,
I loved designing for movies, advertisements and TV shows. When you design a collection, it’s a lonely process. Movies is a group effort. You are realising the director’s vision and have a character to work with.&#;

In , Surily moved beyond the film industry and showcased her collection &#;Roses Forever&#; at her debut fashion show at the Lakme Fashion Week. Her collection for her label Surily G was donned by Bollywood stars like Malaika Arora, Salman Khan, and Neelam Kothari Soni, who also walked the ramp for the designer.

In the following years, Surily presented her collection at various shows including Wills India Fashion Week (WIFW) since , HDIL India Couture Week , Blenders Pride Fashion Tour , Pune Fashion Week and , and Chivas Studio She also showcased her merchandise at luxury fashion houses like &#;Fiza&#; in Mumbai, &#;Kimaya&#; in Mumbai and Delhi, and &#;Aza&#; in Mumbai, Delhi, and Ludhiana. Her label &#;Surily G&#; also got a special feature at &#;Villa Moda&#; in Kuwait, and her WIFW collection was picked up and presented in a fashion store in Milan.

In , the Indian designer seized the chance to showcase her special capsule collection at Caravan, Harvey Nichols, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. Surily&#;s designs also got featured on the cover of India&#;s top magazines.
In , Surily was accused of designing a dress for her Surily G label that looked quite similar to the one made by the American designer Megan Odabash. The same dress was worn by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta for Surily at Lakme Fashion Week in Responding to allegations of her cheating a dress design, Ms Goel said in an interview that she had designed the dress in October &#; around the same time as Odabash, which meant that copying the dress was not possible. She also denied knowing any American designer by that name.
